Review About The Movie OKOK

I recently happened to see the movie Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK), there was a great hype for the movie in all the TV channels so with a lot of expectation i happened to watch the movie. I will brief about all the characters and then brief about my review of the full movie.This movie has been acted by

The Hero:
The hero of the movie Udhayanidhi Stalin the grandson of a political leader is actually a producer, i really wonder what makes such people jump into acting. His performance in the movie was zero. It was so obvious that just for experimentation he had jumped into acting. The basic characteristic which are required by an actor such as Expressions, Dialogue delivery, Acting, Dancing, Emotions all were missing for that matter even the basic lip sink was also missing. Just because he hails from a renowned family he thought people would accept all the crap he does in the big scenes.

The Heroin:
This gal Hansika Motwani has acted in two films previously "Engeyum Kadhal" and "Maapillai" both were big time flops. There has been no improvement in her acting despite her previous failures. Now a days most of the heroins feel that cute looks and childish acting will make people like them but they forget the fact that it only suits a very few heroins For Eg: Genelia. The heroin also lacked in basic characteristics such as Dialogue delivery, Lip Sink, Expressions. But i would definitely say that her acting was far better compared to the hero's.

Comedian:
Santhaman has done the comedy part in the film. This guy has a great sense of humour but i feel that it was not used to the fullest in this film. His previous films "Siva Manasula Sakthi(SMS)" and "Boss Engira Baskaran(Boss)" with director M.Rajesh has been a blockbuster hit as the hero who performed in those films equally contributed to the comedy tracks in the film. In this film that was lacking and hence the comedy part was entirely done by santhanam,at a point people get a sense of boredom. But in the entire film it was santhanam who acted to the fullest and his performance was as usual rocking.

Director:
Rajesh the director on this movie "OKOK" has previously directed "SMS" and "Boss"  both where blockbuster hit and hence this film had given great hopes amongst all people. One of the major mistake the director had done in this movie was he had used the popular scenes from his previous movies and used it in this movie as well. For Eg: In the movie Boss the climax scene where santhanam spoke in a meeting was used in this movie as well and a hero does a guest appearance in the climax and craps up the wedding all these scenes are very standard and makes audience think if he could have done something else better. As a whole the direction was not up to the mark.

Music:
The music for the movie has been done by Harris Jeyaraj. The songs in the movie were good but the songs were similar to his previous compositions. On the whole music was good but not extraordinary.

The Movie:

The movie on the whole was not too good. The scenes where santhanam's comedy was there were good, in fact it made people crave for his comedy scene as the hero's acting was unbearable. The movie can be watched only once or I would say even that is not worth spending. The director can try something new in his future projects rather than repeated scenes in all films. One main thing would be to put people with talent as heroes rather than people with money.

Why The Name Mantralaya

Guru Raghavendra

Mantralaya is a pilgrim place in Andra Pradesh. It is the place of the holy and divine Guru Raghavendra Swamy. I am sure most of you must have visited this place but if not this is truly a place to be visited at least once in a life time. This holy ground gives us a huge amount of peace and happiness.Me and my family members are a great devotee of Sri Raghavendra, i firmly believe that if there is any good happening to me it is all because of him and if there is anything negative happening to me i feel he is trying to mold me. I have never had such an immense faith on any other gods as i have on Guru Raghavendra. People may find it hard to believe, if i have any difficulty and if i pray to him from the bottom of my heart i really wonder where my difficulty will vanish. There was this incident which happened to me recently. I had my delivery on the month of October, there is a tradition in our naming ceremony that the name for the child has to be kept by the maternal uncle of the child (ie) my brother. My due date had been fixed as the last of October but due to unavoidable situations my delivery was preponed. My brother had planned his trip to India based on the due date given initially. As per our custom the naming ceremony had to happen exactly the 11th day of the child birth. Since my delivery was prepond my brother would be unable to attend the function. I felt so unhappy about the delivery i was not happy with the feeling that i was going to become a mother all that came into my mind was my brother will not be there for the function. At that moment i had no hope but to rely on Raghavendra Swamy i told all my wish to him and asked him to do what is best but my inner feeling kept telling me that my brother will be there for the function, i feel it was the hope he gave me and that made me relax. On the said date my delivery happened and due to certain complications it was a C section. After the delivery i got a news from my mother that the naming ceremony has been postponed to the 21st day after the child birth as the delivery was through surgery. I felt i was on top of the world i was so happy taht i thanked him with all my heart. My brother had arrived on the said date and it was his presence which made the function a memorable one. Not only this incident Guru Raghavendra has been with me at all walks of life he is the driving force behind me. When ever i fall he is there to hold me tight and help me walk successfully in life. Any hard times you face in life recite the below sloka and see the miracle

The Magical Word Amma

We usually say "amma we want this", "amma come here", amma amma amma.... But have we ever wondered how magical the word amma is? I actually dint realise the power of the word amma and the complete feeling it gives till recently. I gave birth to a baby girl 5 months before, as soon as she was born all my relatives and friends rushed to me and said "Ahhhhhhh she looks like a princess, hey shobi she is your xerox copy, she is your rubber stamp" and stuff. I felt very proud on hearing people say she looks just like me. It is a great feeling when people say she resembles you in all her features. But all this lasted only for few months as there was a continuous debate over her resemblance. At one point of time it just faded away and people stopped talking about her resemblance. Life was just moving on and each day taught me a new experience on child growth. One day as i was watching tv she cried bitterly as i neared to lif t her she started telling ammaaaa in her cries i could not control my joy. As soon as i lifted her she stopped crying and started telling AMMA, that was exactly when i could experience the fullest joy and the magic of the word Amma. From that day she came to understand that on uttering the word Amma there will be a person to meet her needs. I really wonder how great god is, it is really facinating when you see a baby grown each and every stage and see the various types of developments  they attain. Till that day i felt amma was yet another common word all use but when those words came from my baby's mouth i could experience the magic it made within me. Infact i felt so responsible and proud to have become a mother. i guess this is the driving force which makes all children close to the mother rather than anyone else one earth. I really wonder how these infants recognise new faces, i have noticed it a number of times in my baby. If there is someone new apart from the people at home lifting her she immediately says amma. I really wonder how they get to know that if there is any sort of discomfort it is amma who will resolve it for them. On seeing such small small incidents made my belief even more strong on god and i feel babies are the best creation by god may it be an animal or human.

11/04/2012 The Day That Shook Normal Life

11/04/2012 the day which no one will forget because this is the day which made people fear and run for lives. In the afternoon at about 1:40 i had completed my post in my blog and sat down to watch a movie in my mobile to while away time suddenly at around 2:15 felt someone was shaking my chair, i thought wanted to use the PC next to me so in order to let them in i moved my chair and continued with watching the movie,i was so engrossed in the movie that i failed to notice that there was no one next to me, after 2 Min's my chair again started to rock i thought one of my friend was playing a prank with me and put a pause to the movie and turned around to see but found no one, that i when i felt something was wrong. Then i removed my headsets and sat still suddenly my legs started to shake, i thought if i was getting a heart attack :p, seems silly but in such a situation we think all the wired thing on earth. Then my legs started to shake badly i turned around and saw people shouting its shaking common lets move. I composed myself not to fear and searched for my friend and found her no where. Then controlled all my fears and walked slowly towards the safe area. Then very moment we started walking we could hear the fire alarm ringing, i still could not believe that it was an earth quake. The entire office was down in the safe area all my friends where in utmost joy telling god is great we need not complete our EOD tasks and few friends telling there is frequent earthquakes and tsunami in the world i guess the world is going to end at 2012 and few others telling i want to move home immediately i want to see my beloved ones before i die and all sought of wired things.

I was just listening to what all were speaking and after sometime all where asked to move to their places. I started immediately from office and caught bus to go home. While travelling i could see people running and owing to the tsunami threat offices had left all the employees home. Seriously never had witnessed such a crowd in OMR at 3:30,all busses where crowded and there was a heavy traffic,adding to the situation the weather was burning hot yesterday. At one point of time felt tsunami was far better compared to this heat and traffic. After reaching home switched on the TV to see the news to get an update on the earthquake and tsunami, to my irritation i found one news channel putting a count down for the arrival of the tsunami, it was like welcoming the tsunami that was not going to come. People in marina beach were having charts which contained statements that they were ready to face tsunami with unity. I guess they thought tsunami was a student of oxford university as soon as it comes it will read the chart and go away. Got wild on seeing such people who were willing to do anything to come on tv and news channels encouraging them.   

Ashamed To Be Associated With iGatepatni.

I have been working in Patni for the past 4 years. When i joined the organisation on 2008 the notice period on resigning the job was for 1 month. The very next year it was increased to 2 months and on 2011 it was increased to 3 months. One fact which all my colleagues wittily say is that "there is no increase in the salary alone but the only  increase we got  for joining this company is notice period". previously Patni was a single organisation and it had its own set of framed policies, recently about a year back iGate merged with Patni and came to be known as iGatepatni. We as employees where very happy thinking that all the negatives policies which where there in out company would be gone and we would get employee friendly policies. But to our astonishment we got policies which were even more worst compared to Patni. I feel this has be distinguished as before merge and after merge.

IDIOTIC POLICIES:

Before Merge With iGate.

1) Bond period for Associate S/W engineers was 50k For a term of 3 years.

2) Bond period for S/W engineers was 75k For a term of 2 years.

3) Notice period after resignation for people in project was for 2 months and for people on float immediate.

4) Female employees who go for maternity can resign from home, it was not necessary for come to office to collect the experience certificates it would be couriered home.

5) Extended leaves for female employees after completion of maternity leave for child care.

After Merge With iGate.

1) Bond period for S/W engineers was 2lakhs for a term of 2 years.

2) Notice period after resignation for people in project is for 3 months this includes for people on bench as well. The company is earning a huge annual turn over i guess as it is giving slary for people on bench to serve notice period..

3) Female employees who go for maternity can resign from home, but notice period starts only form the date you join the organisation to complete the notice period.

 

On reading the above comparison all i could say was known devil is far better when compared to unknown demon in the form of an angel.

Recently i had my delivery and my ML got over on 9th Jan 2012. On 10th jan 2012 i was at home taking care of my child suddenly i found my phone ringing on picking up the call caller said hello Mrs Padma we are calling from iGatepatni. I said yes mam please tell me. The caller told me one stunning thing after which i got something closer to a heart attack. The caller told me we are calling from bombay, i asked if it was a project call they siad yes,then they told i heard from your RM that your ML got over, when are your likely to join back. I told may be in two weeks.One month later i.e on February 5th i resigned my job as per my in-laws and husbands wish for child care reasons. The very next day i got a call from my HR Sujatha Subramanian saying Padma i suppose you have resigned your job kindly join immediately and complete your 3 months notice period i immediately told what is the use in you paying a salary for 3 months for an employee who is going to be on bench knowing very well she has resigned and cannot be allocated to any project. The only word she told was this is company policy and we cannot forego, she even told with so much pride that this is the situation in many locations, but the policy is strictly followed.Till the previous day i have a strong feeling that my company will not be so stringent with the company policy for employees who had valid reasons. That was the day when all my hopes went down. After i spoke to my HR i immediately called up my husband and told him the situation. He with all hopes told me i will speak to your higher officials and explain them the situation. I was so sure that these buggers will do nothing good for employee welfare. But still i dint want to lower his confidence so let him give a try. Hence with all the emotions running high up he drafted a mail and sent it to all the higher officials in my company. The very next day we got a mail from one of the HR Ravi Kumar that Mr.Prashanth we would like to speak to our employee rather than anyone else.On seeing this reply my husband gave me all the possible training to  make me convince them. At about 3 pm the next day i had a conferance call with Sujatha and Ravi Kumar. This person just joined and told this is our company policy if you need experience letter serve the notice period else you will be marked absconded and on future referance we will give only negative remark about you.This is the situation for an employee who has worked for three full years. That moment  felt like using all possible foul words at him. But with no other option i told ok but i will join only at the end of teh month for which he said no way join immediately i really got pissed off i told i jsut cant leave my child like that and come its not as easy as you think if you can give me leave give else no issues i will join only as i want. He then spoke to Sujatha and granted me 10 days LOP. One day i had to take my child for a check up to the doctor and i explained him what had happened as he said the months 4 and above were the stages when the childs brain develops rapidly and at this stage a mother plays a vital role in giving the child the proper love and care required. He even said that on humanitarian grounds they have to consider such cases, i really wondered if they were humans humanatarian grounds will be applicable but for such people nothing will apply. Then i had to join leaving my child at home.After coming to office i came to know that these people have been so cruel to other employees aswell. Now the only thing i do in office is browse FB,chat, drink Tea, watch movies on my mobile and go back home for which i am paid monthly. That is when i decided never to join this large size sewage at any situation. Hence all young minds think before joining iGatePatni you are inviting big trouble for yourself.

Interest For Psychology

In recent times i came to understand how strange human beings behave. I gave a thought as to how this all happens and what makes them behave indifferently. When you observe a person he might be very normal at one time but his behaviour might suddenly change the very next moment, this is simple because mind is never inactive even if the body is inactive the mind keeps functioning. This is why there is a very apt proverb which says "IDLE MIND IS DEVILS WORKSHOP". Have we ever wondered why they say that? The reason being that is when a person has no work to do he sits idle and keeps thinking about something or the other, while doing so his mind thinks of all the negative things that has happened to him or at times it even forecasts an unreal situation and makes the person what are the possible negative things that can happen to him and how the people around him will react to that particular situation, this in turn makes the person get a negative image of  the people around him. In such a case what the person actually does it in order to check if his perception is correct he deliberately creates the situation and checks how the people around him behave, if they behave the exact way his mind has forecasted he develops a  preconceived notion about the other persons attitude or behaviour for example: Before an employee appears for his appraisal meeting, his mind will never think of any of the positive things he has done during the past year he thinks only about the negative things he has done and he will be so sure that his manager will think the same. These kinds of negative vibrations makes us to lose half of our confidence. If you have seen the film 3 idiots you will know that there is a very famous dialogue "ALL IS WELL" i at times feel it is so true. There is one thing that happens to me very often, my office is located in the interior of SIPCOT IT Park to go to the main road i need to catch an auto, since my office is located interior i hardly get any auto as a result of which i need to walk minimum for 15 to 20 Min's to reach the nearest auto spot. At times i tel my mind that today i will get auto at the office entrance and to my surprise i will get it at the entrance and on the contradiction if i believe that today i will not get auto i surely will not get auto how much ever i walk. This example might be a bit silly but take a minute to think how many of us have under gone such similar situations. That is when i came to understand that the entire control of our mind is with us. People might say while at anger i am not aware of how i behave, i would say this is complete lie. The anger they exhibit is nothing but preconceived behaviour. After a fight when you sit and think why all this happened you will be just blank. All your mind gets is a sense of satisfaction that it was able to achieve what it had  forcasted. When we allow the mind to control us we become slaves to our minds which is not a good sign on the other hands when we try to control our mind we make wonders. These are just a gist of what i have read but i felt so true when i continued reading a book on Developmental Psychology. The author Elizabeth B. Hurlock have mentioned every stage of mind development and how human beings react at that particular stage. We say that each individual and their nature of behaviour is different that is so true as the surround in which a child grows and the surrounding in which we live influences and contributes a lot to our nature and behaviour. Try controlling your mind and see what wonders you can make.
